1. Who controls your data

Our Gaming Hub is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

For privacy questions or requests, email contact@ourgaminghub.com.

2. Data we collect

Account, profile, and social data

  • Username, email address, password hash, verification status, and account preferences.
  • Profile details such as avatar, banner, biography, approximate location, social links, gaming setup, favourites, and badges.
  • Posts, images, comments, reactions, forum content, group activity, follows, friendships, private messages, and notifications.

Teams, organisations, and recruitment

  • Team membership, roles, invitations, history, public team information, and related activity.
  • Organisation profiles, staff roles and permissions, followers, team relationships, posts, galleries, results, and partners.
  • Organisation verification information, including legal name, contact email, official website, evidence links, notes, review status, and reviewer records.
  • Recruitment listings, including game, role, region, languages, rank, age or age range, availability, commitment, description, and contact details you choose to publish.

Tournaments

  • Team entries, captains, roster membership, check-in, schedules, map choices, results, disputes, and achievements.
  • Connected game identifiers, display names, submitted match identifiers, game data, result checks, confirmations, and audit records.
  • Private match-operation details, such as party codes, where a tournament workflow requires them.

Marketplace

  • Listings, photographs, prices, approximate location, delivery preferences, saved listings, offers, and linked conversations.
  • Deal status, confirmations, cancellations, reviews, reports, blocks, restrictions, and moderation history.
  • Gaming Hub does not collect or process marketplace payments. Do not send payment-card details or unnecessary identity documents through listings or messages.

Technical and usage data

  • IP address, browser and device information, session and cookie data, timestamps, request and security logs, and feature activity.
  • If you allow analytics cookies: pages viewed, interactions, referral source, session information, approximate location, and device or browser type.

3. Connected game services

When you connect or provide an identifier for a supported game service, we may request account and gameplay information from that service. This can include a player identifier, display name, rank, match history, statistics, achievements, and a stored snapshot showing when the data was last updated.

Supported integrations may include Riot Games and FACEIT, as well as PUBG, Dota 2, Brawl Stars, Clash Royale, and other services made available on Gaming Hub. The exact information depends on the integration you use.

Riot Sign On verifies your Riot account without giving us your Riot password. Riot gameplay data linked to your profile is displayed to other users only where the relevant feature and your display choice allow it. You can disconnect supported integrations where that control is available.

4. Why we use data and our legal bases

  • Contract: to create and secure your account and provide the features you request.
  • Legitimate interests: to operate and improve the service, maintain records, prevent fraud and abuse, moderate content, enforce rules, and protect users and the platform.
  • Consent: for optional analytics cookies and optional account-linking or display features where consent is requested. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation: where we must keep, use, or disclose information to comply with applicable law or a valid legal request.

5. Public and private information

Public profiles, posts, forum contributions, public teams and organisations, recruitment listings, tournament pages, marketplace listings, and published reviews may be visible without an account and may be indexed by search engines.

Private messages, staff-only organisation records, verification evidence, marketplace offers, reports, moderation records, and protected tournament-operation details are restricted to the users or authorised staff who need them. Privacy controls reduce visibility but cannot prevent another person from copying information they can legitimately view.

6. Cookies and Google Analytics

Essential cookies support sign-in, security, sessions, and saved preferences. They are required for core platform functions.

With your permission, Google Analytics 4 helps us understand how visitors find and use Gaming Hub. Analytics cookies, including _ga and _ga_<identifier>, stay disabled unless you accept analytics. We do not intentionally send passwords, private messages, or form contents to Google Analytics.

Select Essentials only to refuse analytics, or change your choice later through Cookie settings in the footer. Google handles analytics data under its Privacy Policy.

7. Sharing and international processing

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share data with service providers that support hosting, storage, image delivery, email, security, analytics, and technical operations; with connected game providers when you use an integration; and with authorities or advisers when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights and safety.

Some providers may process data outside Ireland or the European Economic Area. Where required, we use an applicable adequacy decision, approved contractual protections, or another lawful transfer mechanism. Contact us if you want more information about the safeguards relevant to your data.

8. Retention

We keep account and feature data while your account is active and for as long as it is needed to provide the service. How long a record remains depends on its purpose, whether it is public content, and whether it is needed for security, moderation, disputes, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or the rights of other users.

Closing an account does not always remove every record immediately. Some content may remain where other users are involved, and limited records may remain in backups or protected audit history until they are safely overwritten or no longer needed. You may request deletion, subject to applicable exceptions.

9. Your choices

  • Edit your profile and the content you control.
  • Choose what optional profile information to publish.
  • Manage analytics through Cookie settings.
  • Disconnect supported game integrations where available.
  • Use blocking and reporting tools where provided.
  • Request account or personal-data deletion.

10. Your data-protection rights

  • Access your personal data.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request erasure or restriction in certain circumstances.
  • Receive portable data where the right applies.
  • Withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Your right to object

You may object to processing based on our legitimate interests. You may always object to direct marketing. These rights can be limited where an exemption or overriding lawful reason applies.

Email contact@ourgaminghub.com to exercise a right. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

11. Complaints

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. You may also complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission or, where applicable, your local data-protection authority.

12. Security

We use technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect personal data, including HTTPS, password hashing, access controls, validation, and restricted administrative workflows. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

13. Automated decisions

We may use automated checks to detect prohibited marketplace phrases, validate data, or support safety and match-result workflows. We do not use solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the platform, our providers, or applicable law changes. We will change the date above and provide additional notice where a change materially affects your privacy.
